Pacesetters’ Bible Institute

The Pacesetters Bible Institute (PBI) was established as the Leadership training arm of the Pacesetters Christian Assembly and in fulfilment of our vision which is: “To raise a new generation of Pacesetting Christians who will promote good works in a corrupt world“. The foundation of this vision can be found in Titus 2:14. The referenced scripture, talking about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, says, “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

The PBI is fully committed to the vision of raising leaders, trailblazers and pathfinders who will set the pace and raise the standard for others to follow. The Institute has been formed to raise role models in Pacesetters and in the society in all areas of life and endeavour including Ministry, Evangelism, Business, Career, etc.

The school was established in October 2010. The very first set of students that were admitted into the Institute commenced lectures on October 11, 2010. This first edition lasted 3 weeks culminating in the first graduation ceremony on the 31st October, 2010. Many of this first set of graduands are pastors, deacons, deaconesses and other categories of ordained workers both within Pacesetters Christian Assembly and in other ministries. Today, six years after, hundreds of students have been graduated and many lives have been totally transformed. Many of the PBI graduands include university students, church workers, business men and women, full-time ministers of the gospel, etc.

The Institute awards three categories of certificates, the Basic Certificate, the Leadership Certificate and Diploma Certificate. The Basic course runs three times in a year in February, April and August. The leadership course, on the other hand, runs twice in the year, in February and April, respectively and the Diploma runs once a year in August.

The curriculum of the Pacesetters Bible institute is made up of word-based, practical life-applicable courses that impact different areas of our lives. The courses cover spiritual growth and empowerment, finances, relationships and marriage, business and entrepreneurship, principles for discovery of purpose and potentials, and principles for success and all-round prosperity in life. Also, the curriculum serves as a great preparation for church workers and people with a calling to full-time or part-time ministry. The basic certificate curriculum has 13 courses,  the leadership certificate course has 12 courses while the Diploma certificate course has 12 courses.

A few of the unique courses offered at the PBI include: The Race of Life, The Pursuit of Vision, Family Affairs, Character Development Healing Rivers, Practical Evangelism, Value systems and Standards, Handling Projects in ministry, Excellence in Ministry, Spiritual Leadership, Purpose and Divine Pattern, Kingdom Entrepreneurship Development, Administration and Management, The Winning Ways of Life

Every session of the school runs for two weeks from Monday to Friday and is inclusive of a practical soul-winning field work. In total, every student of the PBI is exposed to about 65 hours of lectures within the two-week period. Now, that is more than one full year (52 weeks) of attending Sunday services. You achieve all this within a two-week stretch.
